Christmas Chaos

Sunday we are having our first Christmas party ever, the first year in our new home. Suffice it to say, I am far from ready. Unlike my sister-in-law(haphazard-hostess.blogspot.com) Nichole, I am not a born entertainer. I love the idea of it but... I am known for starting out with a bang and ending with a fizzle.
We have a friend who has a hat that says" king of unfinished projects", well meet the Queen. As you can see from my dining room photo, I have began several projects and finished none-sweeping, making a boxwood wreath, putting up a pair of shoes etc...
I thought Creative Chaos would be a good title for my blog because that is usually the state of my brain. I have so many good ideas,so little time. My day starts out with the ever present laundry. First I add that to the washer, wash dishes, lots of coffee, making breakfast and lunches, carpool lines and on and on. Most of the time I forget about the laundry until the next day and have to wash it again. Laundry is low on my fun list. On the bright side, I do love Purell laundry sheets, they smell so good, they actually do get out the filth and they go into the dryer. It makes me somewhat look forward to the dreaded task. I believe the root of my dislike is that you really don't get a sense of completion with laundry (something I value, alas but so elusive to me). The next day there it is again. I am just grateful to know that I am an unfinished work of God's- Philippians 1:6 (New International Version)
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
God is not finished with me yet either, praise the Lord!
